I think I need some simple guidance, and I can’t find any articles or videos on something that must be a really common issue.
I’ve just purchased your framework. I plan to start using it across my future Bricks websites, but also many existing sites. It’s very unclear how I use it to work with sites that have a lot of existing styling in the Bricks theme without overwriting that styling that makes the sites fall apart, or not using the global styles that you’ve created to gain the benefits of your system. But to put it briefly, what’s the best way to use this with an existing site?
Setting up core frameworks across many existing websites, how do I utilize your system without wiping out all of the existing styles in all my existing Bricks websites?
Hi @Greg Stout - apologies for the delay here. Personally, I would go with Core Frameworks minimal setup (this is chosen during onboarding). It will not generate any classes, and will only give you variables. Therefore, there will be no clashes with your existing clashes (unless you have variables with the same name).
Then, you can go ahead and add our variables to your classes as needed, preventing any potential issues.
